Our programs are focused on the overall development of the child.

The preschool class is for children between the ages of 4 to 5 years. The teachers work with the children using traditional teaching as well as the Montessori methods of learning. This includes practical life skills, sensorial, math, and language arts.

Curriculum

The teachers work with the children using traditional teaching and Montessori methods of learning. This includes practical life skills, sensorial, math, and language. PCDS education recognizes that children learn in different ways and accommodates all learning styles. Students are also free to learn at their own pace, each advancing through the curriculum as he/she is ready, guided by the teachers and an individualized learning plan.

The preschool classroom uses each individual state’s early learning content standard as a curriculum guide. By using these standards, the teachers will introduce subjects such as language arts, science, social studies, math, and writing. Our staff will assist your child in letter recognition, number recognition, early writing skills, and more. The children will participate in teacher-facilitated lessons such as circle time. The children will also be encouraged to explore the classroom centers, which are strategically placed with learning toys that will encourage them to learn on an individual level through play. The children will be exploring the outside world with outside play time, both in the morning and afternoon (weather permitting). The children enjoy a wonderful playground where they can climb, run, and ride bikes.

Our preschool curriculum in Texas is comprehensive and designed to support every aspect of your child’s growth:
